About Ricardo - innerpeace1979

Ricardo was born in Lisbon on the 4th of July, 1979; hence the number attached to his nickname.

Always interested in arts, he finished his high school studies in that field, and followed on to study Design for two years and two more years of painting. Eventually he finished his BA in Modern Dance, in the Netherlands where he also pursued the improvement of his drawing abilities, clearly preferring traditional means, and enjoying mixing media, such as markers, coloring pencils and watercolors.
Ricardo hopes to inspire and touch the people who see and look at his art. He believes he doesn't draw mere pretty pictures but communicates with an imagery which is filled with subtle but deep emotion.

Ricardo has realized early enough that a piece he couldn't impregnate with a part of his soul wasn't a piece worth showing, sharing or selling. That is the main reason why this artist will only strive to produce pieces that "come from the heart" and touch other's hearts too...

Lately Ricardo has been working as an English Teacher, translator, as an actor and reiki therapist, having had the privilege of featuring a magazine with his illustration on Male Anorexia and selling some of his prints in Europe and in the USA...
